I'm a junior cloud and software engineer at CFO360, an accounting, audit, and advisory firm — which means I spend my days somewhere most engineers never look: the point where infrastructure meets the financial systems it's actually supporting. I didn't start in engineering. I started in accounting, moved into IT support and networking, and worked my way toward cloud infrastructure and software development. Each move added a layer rather than replacing the last one.

That path shows up in how I work. I've sat on both sides of a support ticket and both sides of a balance sheet, so I tend to ask what a system costs, who it serves, and what breaks first — not just whether it runs. Right now that means building and maintaining cloud infrastructure and internal tooling for a firm where downtime and data integrity have real financial consequences, not abstract ones.

I'm currently working through a Software Engineering bootcamp with Stellenbosch University and HyperionDev, alongside a BSc in IT (programming specialisation) through Richfield. My goal is to keep building toward senior cloud and software engineering roles — ideally ones where the finance background isn't a detour, but an edge.
